We treed two bear today. The first bear we treed about 9:30 this morning, while I was calling the dogs off the tree, Chrome, my big walker struck another track, so I turned out my two pups, Jake and Elwood. Jake took the lead, he lead the whole race and was the first to tree. They treed that bear and we was heading home by 11:00 today. It was a good day!! My boys are doing really good, they are only 13 months old and are really turning it on, I am very proud of both of them. Here are a couple of pictures with Jake and Elwood on the tree and one of the bear, he was pretty high up the tree and I couldnt get a very good picture of him.

Here are my older three dogs that started the first bear.

Left to right, Jethro, Chrome, and Howie. Howie is still injured so we are just using him to strike with, he is only good for about one race a week right now but he is getting better all the time. We are using Chrome and Jethro to line the tracks out, they are both doing a excellent job.

On the second picture, Jake is on the left of the tree, Elwood is on the right. On the last picture on the tree, Jethro is on the left of the tree, Elwood on the right and Jake is behind Chrome.

Looks like they are doing good. My girls are getting out of practice with no seasons right now... wish we had a bear season.

She was resting up, dad hunted her the day before, she ran 26 miles and was on two bear trees, so she needed a break.

Yesterday was just one of those days that a guy really likes. I was hunting with one of my good friends, we sh*t the dogs at 6:00 or so, we didnt get more than 600 yards down the road where we sh*t them at when Howie and all the rest of the dogs blew up. We turned out Howie, he lined out the track then we dumped all the dogs. All of my dogs went behind Howie, My buddie had a couple that went with him also, but his four other dogs went bailing up the other side of the road, we thought they might have ran the track backwards. About 45 minutes later my dogs was showing treed, about 20 minutes after that his dogs were showing treed also. The two bears must have either been together or was just traveling awful close to each other. The dogs treed about two miles from each other. We were done by 8:00.
