We have a female that is around 8 years old, she has been bred a lot for her age, recently she came in heat and it only lasted a couple days, we bred her and she only had 3 pups, usually she has around 7 or 8. Is the number of pups relevent to length of her heat cycle? Is her short heat a sign she could be done having pups? Are there any supliments or anything we can do that can possibly help her heat cycles?

Any info would be nice.
