Is there a point where you have done to many drags and just need to wait and put them on live animals

Sounds like you would have a good field trial dog!! I guess it would depend on what the dog is doing or maybe not doing? Is it loosing interest? What is the situation?

Yes! The "too many" point is the FIRST one. Drags are just for your entertainment. When he is old enough and shows that he is ready just put him on the real thing.

Once the young dog is running and treeing on the drags, quit them and go hunting.

Nothing is wrong with them just have nothing here that is in season that we can run and feel like we should be doing something with the dogs.
