is anyone in central kansas running cats with dogs would mountain curs work for it lot of open farm ground with small creeks and brushy pastures in my area and i would really like to get into it i have always ran compition hounds for coon got out of that bout four years ago got a couple mountain cur coon dogs now getting a new pup and would really like some advise on cats in kansas thanks for any help

I don't live there but I was down last winter with my curs and got a couple cats.

where abouts if you dont mind me asking were you just free casting your curs or how were you doing it

Hunted near Harveyville, we had snow there so we just cut tracks. Went down to Stafford and did some free casting.

U need good start dogs unless snow is on
We have snow only about 3 or 4 times a year.
I live right in the center of kansas

J Shaw hunts cats and lives in GreatBend Ks.He hunts OK.and Tx, alot he just got 3 top pups from me.

Carl Clapp lives in Cedarville/Sedan, KS area and is great guy plus good hunter. Has a good pack of cat dogs to boot!!!
