Bear hunting with Joe Troyer

I just wanted to thank Joe for having me come up and hunt with him for three days. Joe has the nicest pack of hounds that I have had the pleasure to hunt with so far in my hunting career. We treed two bear in three days, and he makes it look easy.
Aside from the hunt, the hospitality was second to none. I was lucky enough to meet and stay with some of his friends, and it took about five minutes for them to treat me like they had known me all of their lives. Gentlemen, that trip is what hunting is all about. If I live to be a hundred years old, I will never forget the experience.
Joe and Shelley, thanks again for making us feel at home. I just hope we didn't wear out our welcome due to the "post hunt celebration". LOL
I hope yall will come bay some hogs with us in the spring.
By the way, I can't wait until Maggie comes in. hint hint. John and I were talking on the way home about Cricket. If nothing happens to her, we believe she may be a once in a lifetime hound. I've never heard of a six month old doing the things that she is doing on a daily basis. Pretty amazing my friend.
Another note, I learned that I can't take hounds out of these creek bottom thickets and tree bear up in those rocks. LOL It was humbling for sure.
