I heard it takes a special type of dog but am curious of other folks success with what breed they are running.
When I think of a cat dog I think of Redbone, Cameron & Maybe a good Leggy Black & Tan.
Anyone elses input.

Lol you are likely to start a war on here asking another breed question. Color o dog isnt the question. The question is what (track style) the dog has in my opinon.

What every you prefer is what is best. Different areas need different types of dogs. If it catches bobcat it maybe a cat dog. If you want to really see cat dogs that are the best go hunt with someone that is a strait bobcat hunter with part running dogs. It is a totally different ball game than just catching bobcats. Until you have hunted with a pack of dogs that can take a track several hours old or a track in the dry heat and run it like a jump you have not seen what is possible with bobcat dogs. There are a few hunters out there that make treeing bobcats look easy. It would be worth your time to hunt with one. Dewey
