Is your coonhound louder, better than mine?

what makes certain breeds stand out more that others in a given area? Ex: Black and tans are colder nosed? What are your experiences and opinions?

better dogs in any given area are the results of being in the hands of better dog men period.

very true, I completely agree, but i am talking natural instincts that a breed possesses more than others. speed on track, durability, bark, nose, attitude and etc.

this would be a hard one to discuss for the reason that there are so many differant line and traits within any givin breed of hounds and curs . but my guess would be that they are raised and bred for a certain location and sold and given to hunters in the area they were bred to hunt in . certain locations just prefer certain hounds cause thats what every body else had or whatever . heck i don't know
