Was curious on what size (in mm's) is the best for closeups of game in tall trees such as ponderosas? Was looking to get a new lens for my camera, didnt want to spend a fortune but found a Minolta 100-300mm at a decent price, anyone have an idea of how close I could get, right now I got an 18-70 but obviously doesnt get close enough for what I want. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Jarred

ok asked my wife who is a professional photgrapher. she said that would be adequate for most situations but that you would be better to save some money and get an "L-series" lens. they are suppose to get better pictures with less light and give you more detail without being grainy. hope this helps.
