Hoping to come down and work the dogs next weekend, wondering if the Oaks did well or the manzanetta,

East side is loaded with manzanita. Havnt been to the west side so dont know.

Down here near bowman lake the manzanita did real good. and the oaks as well! and those little bushes that make acorns made good too! and them blueberry things as well! =] good luck hunting. not sure where your going, but luck to you!

I dont know of the first place but my brother lives in mcarthur now and said they are doing alright around burney and mccloud. Everything made good around my area berries nuts acorn there was so much feed that somedays it seems the bears were not moving much. we figured that with all the feed there was no need to move a whole lot but lately the berries have gone away and were finding a lot of bear crap with scrub oak acorns in it.
