I don't know much about handguns, but I see alot of guys have a gun on their hip when they are hunting the mountains in grizzly country. I was just wondering what caliber you guys are using and what six shooter?

44 in bear country. I have a Taurus with a 3 1/2 inch barrel to pack on my hip while I'm out in the woods. Shoots decent but it's extremely loud, that way hopefully if I miss it will scare what I'm shooting at to death!

I also carry a .44 mag taurus but it has a 7 1/4 in barrell i believe. I sure wish that it had a shorter barrell. I kinda wish i had a smith and wesson also, i believe they are a little better built. My taurus with 300GR hornady's do put the hurt on though.

Ruger super black hawk in .41 mag with a 7" barrel. I usually shoot 210 grain hollow points.

Nichol plated colt python .357 mag in shoulder holster. 6 in. barrel. can't beat a shoulder hoster! More comfortable and out of the way.

I'm with Benny on this one. That 41 is a bad cat! Very under rated. Not sure in Grizz country that I wouldn't pack the biggest caliber revolver I could get my hands on.
