Now why are you telling everyone you like that Keystone? We will have to make that trade worth more of it, Kerry He loves that Sh#t. Ask him about his little Asian friend not the blue pills. Take it easy Keith Stone.

hahahahah.

I know you are probably not going for a conversation, but.....

The first bear I ever killed was treed after a 16 hour race. I did not even own a dog at the time so you can call BS if you want, but I have no incentive to lie about it. When I first got into hounds we used to have a lot of 8 to 12 hour races and a few longer ones. We would turn loose at daylight and they would finally tree well into the dark and we would have to take our guns home and go in with lights to get the dogs. I used to think that was something to brag about that we had dogs that would run that long, then we ran into Mike Kemp one day and he said "It takes your dogs that long to tree a bear?". A few years, a few hunting partners, and a bunch of dogs later I finally know what he was talking about. There are 10+ hour bear races, and I believe my dogs would run that long and longer if need be, but I hope they don't have to chase a bear all day and night to get it treed.

Now if you want some bragging......

My BT Bandit was turned loose with 8 other dogs at daylight on a bear which he treed by himself about dark that evening. He ended up alone because we caught all the other dogs off it when it was crossing the river for the fourth time. He was in the front and we got in between him and the rest of the pack. By the time we started getting a treeing switch on him it was coming a terrible thunder and lightning storm, so we assumed he was laying up until the storm passed. Well after daylight the next day the storm eased off enough for me to head towards him. When I got very close I could hear what sounded like someone whistling over and over. I finally got close enough to tell that it was Bandit treeing and with little to no voice left. I got to him and took a picture of the bear and we headed out. It was 32 hours from the time I turned him loose until I got him off the tree. It was only about 10 hours until he got treed. Some of the guys that heard about it said that he probably laid up during the storm and happened upon that bear the next morning on his way out because there was no way a bear would stay in a tree during that storm. Maybe that was the case, but I like my version better.
