Eye problem in hound (pix added)

Ok, this hound has always had some goofy looking eyes, but I have noticed in the last few weeks, her lower, inner eyelids seem to be creeping up to cover her eyes. Today I noticed a big difference in her right eye, which included her eye being almost completely covered with that inner lid, and constant quivering in the right eye. It is obviously irritating her to some extent. All of my other hounds' eyes seem to be fine. They area around her eyes don't appear to be swollen, and most allergens should be about gone by now, that I can think of.

I scheduled an appt with the vet tomorrow afternoon to have a look, but I figured I would post a couple pics up here to see if anyone has had any similar experience with their hounds and might be able to shed some light. I am afraid it is a gloucoma, but can't be sure.

Thanks,

Marcial

Hey Marcial!
It's A. Olly Neal (Doc Neal)!!!
I no longer live in NV, I moved to GA about a couple months ago. Please don't cancel my NHA membership yet cause I may go back and do some hunting with John!
Listen I just ran across your post and I know it's late but what did the vet say about your dog's eye?
To me it looks like nothing serious but there is one condition that can be serious that comes to mind when looking at that pic, it's called Horner's syndrome.
If a dog bumps or hits it shoulder or neck area there is a bundle of nerves in that area that supply nerves to all front parts of the body including the eyes. This traumatic bump or whatever can cause the dg's 3rd eyelid to come up and sometimes cover the eye> It's usually not painful and usually goes away on it's own.
Lemme know,
Good luck,
Doc Neal

I too am interested to as what your vet said. Does not look or sound like glaucoma to me. Possibly Horners like Doc Neal said, but doesnt look too serious to me either.

Hey guys, sorry have not been on here for a while.

As it turns out, it was really nothing. Apparently she bumped a brush or grass or something, and scratched the outer part of her eyeball, right dead center over her pupil. After some drops to help with the irritation, and a few days to let it heal, all was well.
