Got a Cameron female who has caught a couple bobbers on bare ground, same with a couple lions. She can catch either in the snow. They can make excellent cat dogs if you get the right strain. Get one from Jim Harrell, thats who Id get one from if I was looking for more of a cat minded dog thats Cameron

I've had luck with a couple of my camerons. I've noticed though while hunting dry ground they are extremely persistant on following the track itself. Don't get me wrong. I most of my cats have been treed with camerons. Just have seen with mine that they don't listen to other dogs as much and straddle the track, making it a little slower. Just my opinion but I do like every other aspect of them. Others may have had dogs that do things differently. Just my pack .
