I think there is a gun in every outfit in Montana, I have 2, a pistol and a rifle at all times. If you don't have a concealed weapons permit it has to be visible thats about it. Pretty easy to get a permit, so mine aren't visible.

Missouri used to require gun to be in the open in a vehicle to be legal. After "Concealed Carry" passed, it is now: Regardless of a permit a gun can be tucked away and not in the open in a vehicle - it is legal. "Concealed Carry" means strictly concealed on a person's body or in a woman's purse - or, ok, in a man-purse. I THINK that is based on the national standard at that time.

In Utah your vehicle is a extension of your home, you can carry a handgun loaded and concealed without a permit. I prefer to keep mine on the seat next to me or on the dash, always within quick reach.

NV has pretty liberal rules. Only real law is that a long gun cannot have a round in the chamber. Pistols can be loaded (included one in the chamber), anywhere in the vehicle. Long guns can be carried anywhere in the vehicle, plain sight or not.

MN made a similar rule a couple years ago there are some restrictions and it cant be loaded. You have to be going to and from hunting and towns with a population (dont remember size) requires a case
