Do you like them to have a real houndy look? Long ears and such. Or do you prefer a more typical dog look. Smaller ears etc. What about size of dog?

Personally, I like a real houndy apperance. And like a bigger hound.

I prefer a small athletic houndy type dog. Square head, long velvet ears, deep ribs, good loins, lots of shoulder and rear angulation. 40-55lbs on a tri colored canvas, mmm, wish I had a few.

Ol' Craig can't compare to a good lookin Walker dog, even he knows that. In my opinion there's nothin better.

The pups are good. They all run around like they own the place. They run around with the big dogs now. The dogs seem to enjoy it though, the lay out in the sun while the pups use em like a jungle gym. They don't mind cleaning up all the puppy food either. I can't believe they are only 4 weeks old. These pups will be catchin bear at 7 weeks old I bet.(J/K)

I like the traditional "Hound" look. Long ears, etc.

i like them face to face w/game and scarred from too much grit, other than that i'm pretty flexible.

I like a small hound no more than 55 pounds, big barreled rib cage for lung capacity, good legs and feet, and a good cold nose. Nothing else really matters to me, they could have pointed ears and a bobtail as far as I'm concerned as long as they put critters in trees.

I like a medium size hound I guess.. No males over 65lbs and females under 50 preferable. I like deep chests and narrow guts.. I don't care so much about the ears.. Most of my Walkers have the shorter "elephant" ears and I think they look just fine.. Have a couple dogs with the longer ears and guess who always gets their ears grabbed by bobs and coons first Good legs.. and prefer tighter feet but have run plenty of coon footed dogs with no problems..

I like the looks of a a working dog I guess.

Most important thing to me though it what is being packed around in those heads of theirs.. I like a dog who thinks they are smarter then you LOL.

small and athletic, tight tough feet. Brains, energy, and drive. The bigger they get the less they can endure and hold up to hunting day in and day out.

They really look about right to me when they are setting up their butts looking up a tree at a bobcat , lion or bear, and saying yow! yow! yow!

If I had my druthers I like a dog no smaller than 25 pounds and no bigger than 85. but heck I seen a Jadg Terrier that was smaller that did pretty good, and a big old redtick that weighed about 100 that smoked the small dogs many days in a row.

If I could make them I would have them weigh between 50 and 55 lbs. with plenty of leg, we need that for bluffs and snow. Little sawed off dogs a lot of times can't make the leaps needed to get up or down, and that leg also helps them when there is snow on the ground. Also if you have watched a short legged man or a short legged horse along side of a longer legged one. to cover the same distance they have to take a lot more steps. too big and you stand the liklyhood of getting clumsy or awkward dogs but not in all cases. My fastest and most atheletic dog at this time weighes a bit over 70 pounds. He hold up better than the smaller ones, doesn't sore up, and he can flat out run them and, and go thru the bluffs like a gut shot cow elk.But he is built correctly, discounting this would kind of like saying Michael Jordan was just too big to be athletic. So it pretty much goes with the dog and the general conformation. I like them a little smaller so I can cram more of them into the dog box. LOL!

Those ones eat a lot less too.

I like a houndly looking dog but will make ANY exceptions for dogs that get it done. For the winter I like the ones that are haired up like a sheep dog and so much hair on their feet you can hardly see their pads. They just have to be able to handle the heat though in the summer.
