I have a two year old walker that just randomly takes off and run the road she did it once and i didnt think much of it now its become a common occurrence i hunted my farm last night turned her loose she turned and ran right back to the road and took off running down it for no apparent reason...... any advice on why shes doing it or how i can break her of it would be greatly appreciated because this is a very frustrating thing

Do you road your dog alot? Mine was doing it and I did the shock method which definatly is helping but I road my dig a lot and wondered if that was it. Now I do more walking hopefully it works!

Ya I'll have to try shocking her cause not only is it frustrating but it's dangerous cause the last time she did it it was on a pretty busy highway.... And no I've never roadhunted her I did it with an older female we hunt but she seems to be able to put two and two together I guess cause she never seems to want to run the road but ya I'll try the shocking thing thank you for the advice!!

well that disproves my theory then. I roaded him alot in the summer for coon, where i hunt it was pretty easy to come across a coon with the amount of trails on our place.
