thanks for the information twist. new to runnin bobcats.

guys r pretty tight mouthed around here about good places to go run bobcats. which is understanable sure dont wana dump dogs in a guys hunny hole.

coming from washington i am use to hunting in the timber. alot of guys say go to the prairie. but my instincts say go to the hills just stay off lions tracks.

again i appreciate ur info.

Lol Id dump my dogs right in a guys "honey hole", Im not going to try to piss the guy off but unless its private property everyone is allowed to hunt there. I dont think lions and bobcats mind each other, always seem to find both sets of tracks in the same area.

I find lion and bobcat tracks in the same area all the time. A lion wil travel through numerous different bobcat territories. Visa versa.
On the side point If this is what you are asking about I have found 2 lion kills in the last 10 or so years that I can remember that were bobcats, As far as I can tell so far they seem to be infrequent, just opportunity kills. But given the chance they will feed on them. The ones I have found have been both close to houses or barnyards, and they were both in an unusually hard winters. I think both of them were down there for easier kills and the lion took what he could get. Doesn' t mean that lions run bobcats off in normal conditons though. Hope that helped answer you question.
