To my knowledge there has not been records taken or kept on bobcat. In my eyes any bobcat taken with a hound is a record :!: Andy

Yeah andy your right this one is just a legend around here and me and my good bud finally got him the dogs did so amazing and caught him in a big rock out croping under some cliffs in a hole it took us almost to hours to get him out of the rocks i had to use a fishing pole with a snare on the end of it, it was some team work for sure, and i have never even seen pictures of one that is this big

Great job and he is sure a dandy. I have had a few in culverts that were a story and a half also just getting them out once they were shot. You will remember that one forever. Andy

There really are no records kept here. SCI does measure skulls and some of the largest cats entered came from Mo. There is a very good reason for this, these cats were hunted over large bait piles on a game farm. 50 pouders were not a rarity there.
38 pounds is the largest I caught here, but I weighed a 41 and a 42, both very fat cats with 38 and 39 inch carcasses respectvely. Actually I found most that I have caught that were over 30 pounds were not the tough ones. I can't see how well spotted your cat is,but it sure does look burly and no doubt has killed his share of deer. Congrats!
