Hi am am building a 1 acre fenced in dog run.It will be about 5 1/2 feet tall with electric wire top and bottom.I don't plan on kenneling them at all.does anyone else have this kind of set up? Wondering if it's better.

I do, has its ups and downs, how many dogs, any females

I plan on having 6 hounds.do they try to jump out.I heard if you give them a big enough area to run they don't bark as much and stay more fit.

Mine is only four feet and they have never jumped out. I only have hot wire on side where we drive by and they were jumping up on fence. I think they are happier having so much room to run but I am no expert. If you have females you will need something to seperate them when the time comes.
