How do the oregon cats run?

I bought a dog from the oregon coast that seems to be doing good on cats here so far. havent had him on too many because the snow hasnt been around too long. Our cats, when jumped, run real tight circles in thick brush and run over their own tracks a bunch of times before lining out to another thick spot. Do the oregon cats do the same thing? Just wondering if the dog will be accustomed to our cats tricks here in the east. Thanks
