How do night hunts work, nor cal tree dog?

Can anyone explain the rules and how these night hunts go? I am new to coon hunting and i have two younger dogs that i want to take to the night hunts this weekend? I usually hunt both at the same time with my father in law. Will have to hunt each dog on it's own one at a time by myself or can me and my father in law hunt together. Do i have to cast them out. As much info as you can give me would be nice
