wear snake leggins and take your time and look were your steping. my dogs have been bit by copperheads plenty of times, i took them home and layed them up a few days and they was fine. a rattlesnake is a different story, it can kill them right quick. if my dog was bit by a rattler i think i would get them to a vet as quick as possable.

I RECENTLY LOOKED INTO THE MATTER. I PULLED UP SNAKE BITES ON THE INTERNET AND IT BASICLY SAID. GO FOR MEDICAL HELP ASAP. YOU CAN WALK OUT OF THE WOODS, DO NOT APPLY A TOURNEQUET AND DO NOT LANCE THE WOUNDED AREA. SAME FOR MAN OR BEAST. L0OK IT UP YOURSELF SO YOU ARE GETTING THE INFO FIRST HAND. THE PROBLEM WITH TOURNEQUET IS IF YOU CUT OFF THE BLOOD SUPPLY TO THE LIMB YOU MAY LOOSE THE LIMB. IS SAW A DOG BIT BY WHAT I THINK WAS A RATTLER IN THE SHOULDER WHILE I WAS IN KANSAS. IT WAS NOT A PRETTY SIGHT.

buy you a stun gun . there have been studies for a long time now that after being bitten you can shock the bite with a stun gun and nuetralize the venom .
