Jimmy,
My new rule is that you name them something that you can yell in the woods or at least have a shorter part of the name that you can haller at them with. And the names should sound different enough so the dog can tell who you're calling. Chilly, Sketch, Kooter, Zoomba, Catch, Money, Gritts thats off the top of my head.

name them something really dumb, because everytime i give one a cool name it turns out to be a dud. I think i will name my next one obama.

Penny! My husband had a litter of pups and when they were 2 weeks old he would take the mamma out. Every morning at 3am he would bring me the 3 puppies in my bed. I raised them until they were on their own. I named one Penny and told my husband she was gonna be a great cat dog someday.............and she ended up being amazing!
