I am susporised that there is not more attention paid to the Wolf hytadid disease that was introduced with the wolves from canada and presents and extreme threat to the future of hunting, hiking, salvaging what is left of wild game etc. This tape worm is not visible to the eye, is air born, it enters the bloodstream, searches out an organ and forms a cyst, in canins, deer, elk, bison, fox etc , also humans and can be fatal. Just petting you dog can get you and your children infected.
There is huge amounts of info on saveelk.com and the devastation and trhreat to our future use of the north west back country is beyond measure,

We were warned by Russia that has dealt with it for 50 years and more. The wolves were sent down from the north already ifectedand the new it. it`s in Minnisotta to and spreading to the mid west in the fox and coyote population.

Our whole way of life is being destroyed and its even more serious than the devastatiion ooof the wolf slaughter of our wildlife.

Just imagine someone in yelloewstone with a mutt on a leash, letting it "scent roll" on a pi;le of wolf scat" That dog and those people are infected and will take it where they gio home to.

You would think that would be enough reason to get rid of the wolves. Maybe its the way of the government adding a little population control. Makes you wonder why nothing has been done about this issue. Should be some sort of lawsuit in place because of this.

Already heard tell Idaho F&G tested and seized 2 Moose full of them :evil: and gave out 2 new Tags............ Better worm your Dogs every month! Educate every Bunny huger and wolf lover that their animals are subject to them, might make them start to rethink their position,either way they are here to stay, we will have to learn to deal with it!

I googled the "wolf hydatid disease and read a report here is the final line of the report ;

Finally we have to look to history. Wolves have been exterminated from lived in landscapes universally because they, or their diseases, posed a serious threat to affected people, livestock and wild life. The lessons from history are that we can at best live with wolves if such are relatively few, the abundance of natural prey is high, and the risk from diseases non existent. We have the means and intelligence to achieve such.
