I just want remind the new guys and a few of the veterans that the important thIng is to have fun with what u are doin. It's good to set a goal and strive to reach it. It's also important not to lose sight of having fun doing it. If u are constantly worried about the amount of cats your catchin or competing , I think you'll find yourself not really enjoying it. If your worried about what everybody else is doin then your not doin you or your dogs any good. It's good to catch game and it's good to have a goal. But just because u don't catch every cat u turn loose on doesn't mean u or your dogs are no good. It's called hunting and it's support to be fun and challenging. Don't be worried about everybody else if u and your dogs are havein fun. It's really all that matters.

Awesome post Jake. Alot of new guys get frustrated but remember its about learning and having fun numbers don't mean a darn thing if you are enjoying yourself and your hounds. Learn what may help you become better. But don't get caught up in the numbers game.

The only number that really matters is the ones that get away. If your goal is to get that number as low as possible the rest of the numbers will speak for themselves. And you can still have fun in the process. jmo
