so i have this damn hound that i put a anti-bark collar on so she wont bark as much, but she seems to not really care. shes got smart and will whine and not bark or bark til it beeps then be quiet til it resets. and she only does this when shes in her kennel. but on other occasions shel just bark thru it. i was curious if a remote control collar would possibly be the best cause my wife is sick of being woke up at 6:30am and im dun being woke up every hour when im on graveyard. shes a good dog, and great with my kids so i dont want to get rid of her, but its getting very stressful.

You sure its tight enough? If it is, go outside when she's barkin. if the collar is doing its job and she's still barkin, the next time she barks and the collar fires off hold her mouth shut for a minute. It might be its not registering with her that she gets shocked because shes barking. hope this helps.

Have you tried one with the adjustable shock level? not the automatic type Im talking the manual type,
a fella can crank those up pretty good like a shock collar system, I have some pretty stubborn hounds when a field lion walks by and they respect the collar when its set to the level that gets their attention.
Sometimes I just walk out on the porch show them one and say do you need this?
Silence is all I hear, just don't start too high

thats the kind i want.....cause mine do the same thing when i go outside, but only for me. they ignore the wife. ok, so il try the remote collar then. shes really a pretty obedient dog for me, she just needs to listen to the wife cause shes home more.....this should get that done. thanx

The brand I use are by sportdog, not sure how many companies make the manual type but Im sure there are others, kinda pricey if I recall have had mine for 7yrs or so, the batts are replaceable by the owner and last a long time, Don't forget about the prongs on the neck thing, not something you want on her 24/7 the prongs will irritate the neck if left on too long, If I recall the cost was somewheres around 60 to 80 apiece, but worth it. sounds like you like that dog cheap price compared to the alternative, I have 4 of those collars but don't need them much now that they have learned, But every once in awhile they need a reminder

some dogs dont care i have a tri tronics i turned it up put the long spikes from my duck collars he barks thru it period some dogs dont care he know that hes gettn shocked he just dont give a shit i got rid of the last intact male for the same reason the only way i fix it is road his ass till he almost drops

I've used bout every bark collar out n my choice is dogtra. Shock collars tri tronics trash breaker ultra.
