I was wondering what kind of power supply I could find for a 320 when used in the truck. The 320 seems to eat batteries compared to a 220.My dad uses his only in the truck. Also if you can hook it up in the truck, do you have to remove the batteries?

I think that as soon as you plug it in it turns to computer mode. I haven't tried it in the car, but you could probably use the computer plug and use a cigarette lighter to usb like many of the phone chargers use. I'll try it tonight and let you know.

For some reason on a 320 you will lose about half your range if you plug into a 12 volt outlet..Garmin has no good answer about it..So I just keep buying Batt.

I have always left my 320 on my 12 volt power supply. So what you are saying is if I use batts it will track farther.
