The only dog he owns right now is a beagle. He got sheep hunting fever a couple years back.

That's correct ! I bought the last two hounds of Ronney's . Outstanding hounds that lead my pack. Said he might want a couple male pups back out of the female I purchased from him, so I expect him to be back in the thick of things not to far down the road. These two hounds are out of his Big Game Thunder .......... Perry Haines

How old would your pups be? Just wondering because I might have one from the same litter. Ronnie said he was keeping one, I think her name was Molly.

Alberta..... I'm not sure if your directing your question to me, but My Male is out of a litter born on 5/11/03. The female was from a litter on 5/4/04. Both out of Thunder & Mandy, just differn't litters ..... I have two other Albert bred hounds ( male & female ) they'll be crossed back too unless plans change. Should'be line breeding at it's best !

Hey Perry, how are your dogs doing. I have a female out of Thunder and Mandy. She is doing unreal, she might be a litter mate to your 03 dog. I used to hunt with Ron. Thunder was a pretty good dog. I have some pretty good footage of him hunting bears and cats.

Hey Rockymtnhunter
It sounds like the "03" litter was a good cross for Ronny. The male ( Griz ) I have out of that litter, is by far the best hound I've owned in years, maybe ever. He's really got it all including a nose second to none and brains to boot. I'm looking now for the right female to cross him back too ( buy or stud )..... My litter mate female from "04" is a nice solid hound, but hasn't the nose her brother has . I have heard from others with dogs out of that same "04" litter and all are pretty happy with their hounds . It's just good blood all the way around ! ..... I also have a pair of Albert bred Tans ( Eli bred) that I'm pretty happy with so far. Eli was a half brother to Thunder, so i'll be line breeding Griz back to one of my Eli females ..... that's providing I see in them this fall what It takes to make a promising cross.
Take care of that Thunder dog, they were a very special litter !!!
Have a good one !!! ......Perry

I have a female from the 04 litter, she is built like her mother and is a solid hound. She has alot of heart and will never leave a tree. She has treed alot of cats on her own. A buddy of mine has a male from the 03 litter and he has a very cold nose and is a huge dog, well over 80# and has a deep bawl mouth. I wish Thunder was still around, he could definently throw good pups.

I have a female named Minnie that Ronnie had gotten rid of that turned out awesome as well. I think it is out of the 03 litter. I know this dog had a litter mate named Mickey. She is the best bear dog I have ever owned. Has anyone found a stud dog that has worked well with this bloodline? I have not yet come across anyone who has had a pure black and tan that has the speed and grit of my female.
