Around here it should only take one to get the job done.
But it always is nice to have several, some pups or young dogs.

Not to say I haven't been in the boat where it "took" more than one to get the job done, it just doesn't have to be that way, and lots of hunting and culling will solve the condition.

The best bcat hunter I know caught 32 cats in six weeks with 2 dogs and killed a third of them on the ground. I think he only missed a few. more dogs, more distractions. Just my opinion

a real deal catdog should catch 90 out of 100 cats that it gets jumped. most people dont know what a realdeal catdog is. it is easier to make a pack of cat dogs than find a catdog. to find a cat dog i think u need to know what to look for, from seeing a catdog in action . they must be naturally gifted in certain things . this is for my area which is totaly different than people might look for in other areas. if u think u are going to buy a pup , and it will make a do it all catdog u might want to think about who its parents are and do your reserch.

jc said it well. It all depends on where you are hunting the conditions you are hunting and what one calls a bobcat dog! Andy
