just let them out and start driving in first gear . they will catch on and start running in front of the rig. watch them they will let u know if a cat has pissed on a bush or if a coyote has . if it is a coyote your male dogs will piss on the same bush . if its a cat they will smell the bush and wag there tell. when u find where the cats are marking there territory these spots u can check everyday untill u die . if u kill the cat or cats that are making these scrapes and pissin post another will move in .

One thing I did that seemed to help was to road my dogs at night at first and they would stay in the headlights.

The roading thing isn't as complicated as it sounds. I feed cows with pups in the back of the truck whenever I have pups. I try to take them to where there is a residential deer problem too. I keep them tied in the middle so they can see better. No dog box. Once they get to know what the truck is and are old enough to hunt just turn them loose. If they are bred right, when they strike something they will stay gone. That's really all there is too it. Of course, you have hopefully narrowed that something down to not a cow or a deer.
