where do i go now

Hey y'all, this isn't necesarily a hound hunting related question but here goes. I lived in colorado from birth to the time I was 18. I lived in a small community of maybe 3,000 people. I joined the marine corps and have been gone ever since. I kept hearing my mom talk about how its changing so much. I came home and my small town is now a 20,000 strong suburb. The old creek I caught crawdads in is gone. My old highschool turned into 3 highschools. And the whole state has been flooded with liberal minded hippies from california. So basically I came home and I don't feel like I have a home anymore. I don't know where to go because colorado is the only place I know. But I've spent enough time in places where no one is like me. I can't stand to live somewhere that has no american morals or values anymore, they have officially run me off. I also realize no one else wants their population to grow but I'm looking for advice on where to go. I'm looking to get into law enforcement so I can work pretty much anywhere. I love the mountains and that's where I belong. I've seen enough desert for one lifetime so preferably I want to be somewhere like colorado, just without the people that now live there. God bless

Tom,

First off I would like to personally thank you for your service to our country. And what ever you do and wherever you end up going don't ever lose sight of the fact. That the vast majority of Americans are very thankful for the sacrifices that all of you young men and women make.

I sure don't want to make this a post about a freakin election, but one certainly has to understand what is happening. When Romney said 47% of people in this country don't pay any taxes and are on the take. He certainly didn't mean veterans and people with mental and health disabilities. But that is how it was spun. And unfortunatly those are the percentage of people who are molding the country. And WON AN ELECTION!

Now I don't care if you are white, black, brown, yellow, red, or pink. I say this. You are gaming the system and hurting the country. Don't give me any of your excuses about your race. If the shoe fits wear it and know that you are the percentage that the rest of us will eventually ratchet up the pressure on. Hopefully it won't come to corralling you all up and putting you on a piece of real estate where you could try and mooch off of one another that don't maintain jobs.

But Tom there are still plenty of places for you to go. Just do a little research and look around in small town America. And I'm sure you'll find a place that welcomes your lifestyle and is in need of a good old-fashioned police officer that's not corrupt.

Take care, Willie

Thank you very much for the support and advice. Because you mentioned it, the election was sort of the straw that broke the camels back. I just can't take that anymore, it seems like colorado is the new california. I'm thinkin about wyoming or utah but I really don't know much about them.

My advise would be to stay there to prevent CO from becoming the new CA. We've got the same problem in AZ, especially up north and they (the anti, tree huggers, etc.) will take over this damn country state by state through attrition if need be. Please stay there, there must be other places in the state that aren't so bad. From what I understand you all still have pretty good hunting opportunities up there. Some antis aren't bad, they just have their facts confused with emotions.

That's a good point, but it just feels like colorado is almost beyond saving. I'm not sure how the rest of the state is but I'm on the eastern slope 30 miles south of denver. The suburban expansion is just going nuts. Then you got all the hippies and immigrants up in boulder and durango. Seems like everywhere is just getting taken over. Like I said too I haven't been there in quite a while so maybe the other side of the mountains ain't so bad but I don't know.

x2 on how slowandeasy started his post, I couldnt agree with his words more. Thankyou Willie.

Thomasg, I hear what your saying and feel your pain. I live in oregon, I have read comments on this site about what some people think of oregonians. Tree huggers, hippies, dope smokers & growers, liberals. A demacratic controlled state. 90% of the places you go in oregon, a person runs into good old boys. Flannel, hickory, carhartt, work boot wearing people. Its a crying shame that a person from downtown portland or. Can tell a fella from powers or. How he should live his life.

It's rediculous to think that what works outside of portland, also should work in powers.

Portland, salem, ashland, bend. and some of the I-5 corridore. Out vote all of oregon. The city man is telling the country man how to live, this is happening all over the united states.

What can we do about it? Wake up the silent majority. Until they get mad enough to vote it wont change. John.

Colorado is going downhill, I was born and raised on the western slope and things have changed. I remember a guy from CA years ago saying he had moved here because it was so great, two minutes later he was saying thats not the way it was in CA and we should change it. Guess what it changed, because guys like us kept their head down and their mouth shut and the tree huggen hippies raised hell.

See that's exactly what's been going on in my home town. The people who have had enough of california come and move in. Then they vote the same way they did there without realizing that's what made their home state so terrible. And pretty soon us good ol boys are outnumbered.

What? Occupying 130 nations and enforcing UN resolutions and guarding other nations borders while leaving ours open? What BS.
AmeriKa is BROKE! Righteous Israeli Dual Citizens like Greenspan, Goldman Sachs and Bernanke saw to it.

60% of AmeriKa's GDP is related to the US Military. Very little is social entitlements, though its still a chunk.
What part of our Founding Fathers NO STANDING ARMIES, dont you get?
Read your bill of rights and Founders writings. They would never endorse anything our military (or even having any military for that matter), is doing.
Nor the $35 Million we give to Israel every single Day!!!

The same plutocrat billionaires have sent our jobs overseas, busted the unions and devalued our dollar by 95% since the Federal Reserve was created. And you bitch about a few people gaming the system?
Oil was $3 a barrel in 1973 before we got involved in Israels war, none of our damn business. Overnight it went up 10 fold, OPEC said you make your bed, lay in it. Mulitply that times 20 Million barrels per day = Inflation that Carter took the blame for.
Not to mention Isreal dual citzien Milton Friedman taking us off the gold standard (Real Money) to print debt fiat notes = Massive inflation.

His best bet is Wyoming, Montana or Idaho.
After that, its Argentina or another South American or European country.
AmeriKa is doomed. You were sleeping when you shouldve been paying attention.
So back to NFL and Fox Programming.
They have the nerve to actual tell you youre being programmed, but no one cares.

AmeriKa- Home of those that think theyre free, and land of the debt slave.
1,000,000 dead Afganis & same number of Iraquis killed On Lies.
No one gives a damn, cost in the trillions.
And US troops now Sport shoot kids and are dumb enough to pose with their pics. Or urinate on their corpses, sometimes they get jail over it, but usually not.

The Homosexual troops surely deserve your salute as well. Dont forget them.
