I have had coyotes come in and harass my dogs one time I can confirm. I think I had another time just a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn't confirm it. Last year I had a cat treed, saw the coyote fleeing the scene as I pulled up on my sled.

Last winter a local hunter here claims coyotes killed a young dog that had fell behind of the pack. The man has hunted longer than I have lived so I would guess he knows a thing or two.

Had one try and bait one of my puppy a couple of months ago . Saw the yote before the dogs and thought it was a good time for some trash breaking.

Have also had them come in on the dogs when running bear. Have seen them running right with the dogs barking at them. Normally ends in a trash race as we run them as well, and the dogs dont take kindly to it.

Only coon hunt; but we've used a bell for years now. Older/finished dog trees every drop, and haven't had a problem with coyotes yet (knock on wood).
