I know this topic has been brought up before. I am curious to what brand of dog food you hard hunters are using and what protein and fat percentage you look for in your dog food? Do you go with what is cheap or is expensive brands better. thanks for your time

Has anyone had any expereience with Lightning Premium Performance dog food? Not a really big national company. Feeding it now, and seems to be a good feed for the money. Any other opinions out here?.. When it is 26 below zero in the morning, you probably had better be feeding some pretty good stuff.. Thanks, KattSkatt..

I'm feeding Lightning and it seems to be pretty good stuff, especially for the price! We've had the same type of temps lately, and I have dogs that are sleeping out in the open rather than in their barrels, so it must be keeping them pretty well!! They've also held weight really well with a smaller portion. So far I'm really liking this stuff.

There is a guy over in Emery County that buys a semi load when he can. Call Brady Newby @ (435) 201-9205. I think he can still get some to you, or knows who can. Brady is in Southern Sevier county I think. If you need someone in central Utah Let me know..
Good Luck

I pulled this up online, so not promising it's right, but I think it's the same as what I remember seeing on the bag.

26% protein 16% fat
Poultry by-products meal, meat meal, broken rice, whole wheat, whey, fish meal
