Yep.. thanks to all those that helped look for dogs on that bear race too. Sure wish I could have spent more time around camp visiting some saturday and enjoy it Instead of one of the many Looking for Dogs most of the day! I finally Got that Pup picked up at 8:30pm in madras... but Like they say, You sure learn the country good when you lose dogs in it..

Well shoot Buddy I did not get a chance to meet you! I'm really glad I only had a pup and did not run that race! I did let a friend's dog go for him though and he got lost for a couple of hours also but finally came in on his own. That was a crazy race for the start of the day! Sorry your dog got caught up in that! Glad you at least found your dog!

No.. I'm pretty sure she rode a Elk's or Yote's ass the first half to town then She met up with some varmit hunters for the rest!. Guess the Guy saw three dogs and was trying to shake them and leave them in the dust, Mine caught up with them 3 miles and looked at him like.. (PLEASE DON"T DO THAT AGAIN!!) so I guess she just hung out with them shooting varmits and hiched a Ride home with them.
Sure hate that Feeling when you can't get a Beep, Seamed like most of the day I felt like I was chasin my tail.
BearsMom Yea that was probably not the race to put in for.. I'm not sure how many, but I think only 15 or so came in out of 45 dogs.. Hopefully we'll meet at one of these things, I think we'll try and make the La grande one also.

I camp out there a lot and I can tell you there are a ton of both out there... Plus by the look of it there had been a LOT of Elk in the area recently..

COOTER - read the post dates - 2008, not 2011. I think there is another post for the 2011 field trials in here somewhere.

This is my first time going to a field trial, could someone tell me a little bit about the puppy events? also if someone wanted to share about the bear drag that would be great.
