I got a copy of The Hunters Horn in the mail the other day. It is a magazine for coyote and fox hunters. So I am looking through it and I notice all of these hounds are kinda funny looking. The front half looks hound ish, and the back half look like a grayhound. Big chest and little skinny waist. So my question is. Is this normal for a fox hound. I though I had seen pics of old time fox hounds and they didn't look like this thing does. They kinda look like somebody is holding there tails up and pushing up on there stomach to give them a humped back and small waist.

Yes they are poseing bench show view too ya.But I`m glad you took the time too step up and too get a subscription/ now start reading the jernals in it by the hunters back in the day, there was no field trialing, no point hunting= just extreamly decated in the woods fox hunters and breeders and all coondogs get their first hand first knowledge from foxhound an fox hound hunters an breeders. You can`t be a real breeder nor even know much about the different levels of hound hunters till ya start up the university road schollorship of theHunters Horn Trail !You have made the right choice too because coon hunting is a knowledge too aquire but ya can do that in a dozen too twenty yrs. of it and know alot, if ya incorpurate the Hunters Horn understanding too be your teacher on levels out of step too a lesser person of hound understandings. Fox hunting an fox hounds is advanced and puts ya way up there and with lofty goals ! Welcome too a round world, not a flatt one that drops-off at the end of sight ! Your horizons are now endless and knowledge is right there for you takeing !
