Buddy
Too funny, booth next to Odfw!
Maybe over the course of the show and looking at a hound will serve a positive purpose. Maybe you can explain the hounds we use are exactly the same hounds used by Government! The only difference is, our hounds don't milk the tax paying citizen and sport hunters wallets, not to mention we covet our harvest and would not think of hauling cougar to the landfill like they do! Odfw does what they do for their own reasons and most I don't agree with! However, they still are the managers and we need to be reintroduced as the "go to" management tool with our hounds and return Usda to the intended purpose of Government!
Odfw would be well served to understand their are those who would like nothing better than to shut all hunting down and return management to mother nature.....OOOPS! I just defined several members who serve on the board of Commissioners and the Director who leads the charge, who just last year wrote in the Big game regulations book about going deer hunting for the first time?
Reminds me of John Kerry who ran against Bush, when the shotgun was passed to him during a presidential rally, Grabbing the shotgun and in the same breath making the claim he is/was a duck hunter, when the shotgun neared, he asked the secret service agent close to him to confirm it was indeed a shotgun and then boasts he supports the second amendment! okie dokie!!!!!
This is a critical issue for the future of Oregon. I can't stress how important passing this legislation is. I'm done with most of my hunting at present time due to back injuries and can only wish for all the younger board members who have been introduced to the sport long after our rights were taken from us with only coon and bobcats to hunt.
You have missed some experiences that you will never be able to get back! I hope this will resonate deep with all the hound hunters to get together and rally the troops!
I had a great conversation yesterday with one our our staunch hound supporters in the Oregon Senate. Timing is a little off with all the mental health issues that are being linked to our Second amendment rights. I will post a time to submit emails to the House and Senate and was told to do so now will not be effective given this same Senator has over one thousand emails in support of gun rights in two days!
Thanks Guys, Mike
