Where do you fellows get yours from? I like those little packs they sell that have the thread attached but the darn things are like $6.00 a pop. Any of you know a good place to order them from, the little packs or just a pack of needels.
Thanks.

Valley Vet Supply at Valleyvet.com

You might think about a staple gun that you can get on the same site. It is easier so you don't have to hold your dog (or your brother) down quite so long.

yea staple gun is the way to go. Although I have used un-waxed dental floss and a regular sewing needle in a pinch. Talking cheap there! One of my dogs will just lay there and let me work on him, he is the one that gets hurt most often so thats a good thing lol. The others I have to enlist help to hold them down and keep them quiet while I work. Staple gun cuts the time and struggle way down.

Thanks guys.
I do use a staple gun, one of those w/ the refillable cartridge and it works well. Stitches are a little slower to put in but I dont have as much problem w/ dogs chewing them out and they seem to hold better.

Army surplus stores are also a pretty cheap source of the pre-threaded sutures.
