Jumped this youg bear off the road. Let my bear dog go on it , 2 minutes later it sounded like it was treed so I dumped rudy my 2 year old black and tan and my 11 month old walker Nicki. neither of those 2 had treed bears before. five minutes later My bear dog came back and the hounds were out of hearing range. My 12 year old son Colton took Buffy and tried following the hounds. I hiked back to the truck and came around the bottom. 20 Minutes later colton was at the tree and radioed me. 1/2 mile hike in a few pictures and we walked out. Both hounds were great. Treed hard and took alot to get them off the tree. I guess Buffy's pregnacys is taking its tole. 3 weeks to the due date. I think I'll leave her at home for the rest of the season as much as it hurts her feelings

hi doug, nice bear, looks like your snow is melting off, spoke to john in christina lake, said that little female i dropped off there ,treed a bear last thursday, still hard to get around as there are still some good drifts, but i'm heading out soon, keep pounding them dogs as they are looking good, i'm hunting with all the guides so i will quiz them on our conversation, for me everything has lined up to hunt quite abit, when i get back i'm heading over to idaho, hooking up with the last two men of the famous lee brothers, that is going to be the highlight of my hunting career, i'm picking up some mexican gourd jaguar calls that george is making for me as he and dale lee fashioned many back in the day, i'm also taping all the conversations as this stuff is priceless, , good luck hunting i will give you a shout when i land on my feet,...mike
