Well Folks,
Saturday March 2, 2013 once again saw Bobcat and Hog Hunters from South Texas and from as far away as Florida and Oregon descend on Dilly, Texas for Fellowship and Good Food!
Dry Weather and high Gas prices slightly curtailed the number in attendance, but there were still well over a Hundred Houndsmen and Hunters gathered to tell the 2012 Tales of their Hounds and Dogs. Sometimes long gone Hounds and Hunters were remembered…..all seem to have become even more outstanding with age!

Just one of the Groups gathered around a Rig either Bragging on or Cussing their Hounds

Yes those are Palm Trees in the Back ground. Our Oregon Guest says we are mighty generous in what we call a Tree and what we call a River in South Texas.

Eddie Moore (North Texas and OK), Rueben Lawsman (South Texas), & EFC, AR and Florida; Telling each other how Sorry the Hounds are today compared to those Good ones who have passed on.

Many a Bobcat in Many States and three Countries have met their Waterloo at the Hands of those pictured here. LtoR: Henry Wieatric, David Sudduth, Robbie Hurt, Dewey Walton.

Javier is an up and coming Lion and Bobcat Hunter in Old Mexico. He has very Nice Hounds that Robbie Hurt has helped him put together. In 40 or 50 years he may approach the number of Lions that Mr. Luis Chapa has caught (293 last time I heard).

As people started to leave to head home Mr. Dubose hollered out…”See Yall next year”!

I sure hope so!

Folks the Bobcat Hunters in the North West started one of these last Fall. All it took was ONE Man to take the initiative and a TRADITION was/is born. (Thanks JC, we hope to be with you all this Fall).

Why don’t you fellows on the East Coast, who lurk around on here put one together. I will help and I am sure others will as well. The memories and relationships made at something like this are GREAT, will last for years, and may be able to help you with any number of issues and problems!

Good Running to All!
