Do you want some horse meat? (W. MT)

In an effort to help feed dogs and to lower the population of unwanted and/or unusable horses here in Western Montana, I will slaughter a few horses on a regular basis. I have people willing to help line up the horses, what I need is to know is how much of a need there is for the meat. I will provide some excellent quality feed for your dogs for a very low price.

If there is enough of a need, I may grind and mix a complete ration in the BARF style.

if so please respond by PM

Can horses be homed?

Seems alot more sensible to me, maybe I just like horses to be ridden rather than eaten unless Im starving.

I wish that I was in Montana cause I would jump all over that!

BoarHunter-
I sure wouldn't be willing to feed an old, lame, and crippled horse. Down here that would run somewhere around $75 a month. People are constantly turning their unwanted horses out in the desert to starve to death around these parts.

italy eats alot of horse . during ww2 people ate it around here .ive seen some mean ass horses id like to turn into dog food . if some good will come out of humanely slaughtering some horses that are overpopulated ,starving ,and suffering more power to you .i wish i could get a source like that to feed my hounds ,because paying over 20 dollars a bag for this crap im feeding them is ridiculous.

How would you like to feed a bunch of those old hay burners??? :?
I think that $75 a month each is being a lot on the conservative side..
Prairie hay is 135 a ton for large bales -- Alfalfa hay is close to $350 a ton and you haul it
there are a bunch of"horse rescue" outfits around here that have went broke trying to be"Good Folks"
