Fat Deer Killing Maine Cat

Here a little reading for your eyes. My last cat of the year went like this. I started the day out with Drum my cat dog and a young red dog buck. Riding along checking tracks like a mad man down one rd nothing off to the next one we go we pull in and I see that it is plowed which is normal for the people to get into there camps. as I get to the first turn I see its not plowed go down the road 75 yards cut a nice big tom cat track from last night. So I grab Drum out and put him down off he goes so I go back where I just came from and he makes a lost after about 250 yards. This time the cat had walked into a deer trail and stayed in it for 30 yards or so. I got drum back on to it and off he went southwest after a road and the snowmobile trail he come out to the next road made another lost at the road he went right when he should have went left so I get him back on it and off he goes right towards a house that feeds deer and route 27 so I go over there and ask the people permission to go on there land and see what he is doing and again another lost in a deer yard back to searching again this happened again about an hour later 600 yards down the river. so at this time im 2.5 miles from the truck with no gun no radio no cell phone just me and a young dog. so I go back to the truck and see that my partner Timmy called so I called him back and he said he was in the area and had drums brother jack with him and actually drove right by me so I told him where I was and that it was a nice big cat and that I was coming back over to figure out where it went and to cut back on to it. So we met up by where the final lost was made and what we found was amazing we was less then 75 yards from a persons house and see where the cat had a deer kill. You could actually see the deer kill from the houses kitchen sink. So I go with drum and figure everything back out and off he goes back to the river so I head down the river to cut drum off and give timmy a chance to get back with jack so we can really hammer it out. so when timmy gets there off they go they made a lost again on the road about 800 yards out and that was the last lost they made 3/4 of a mile later they had the cat caught and bayed up against a steep banking as we walked in the cat ran off 10 yards turned around and came right back the way he came from and that is when we humanly harvested this Nice 38 lb beauty.
