had a interesting evening. Went to beagle club early and ran angus.. need to get a rabbit in front of him and more running time. picked up dogs with Jeffery, I caught lees 4. went to burger king for a bite.. noticed a couple really looking at me. Had dog box in truck, rubber boots, leashes across my chest and a beagle club hat on.. I paid them no never mind and I ate. I dumped my tray and walked out to my truck to leave... then I heard "does it make you feel a man to harass and tourture animals?" I turned and said no I like working with the dogs, learning and teaching, the fresh air and the challenges of the hunt.. they then told me that hunting dogs were not bred for what we use them for... dumb, ignorant, people they were... they told me to go to hell.. I told them to have a good night.. I wont stoop to their level.. any one else have a story like mine..

It's always good to take the high road in these situations, there is nothing you can say that is going to change there minds or even open there minds to see it the way it is.

oh yes . one day i was roading the dogs early in the morning while it was cool to give them some excercise . this lady lit into me saying how f&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&ing
cruel it was to make them run bla bla bla . there is no common sense with these people. dogs are supposed to have a place at the supper table ,and sleep in your bed, not have to exert themselves . these are the same people who own dogs that are 30 pounds overweight and look like they are 10 when they are 5 basically killing them with kindness /ignorance. there is no pleasing these people . try not to get mad ,but be witty and tell them they are seeing eye dogs ,or bomb sniffing dogs, or learn a little bit of a different language enough to make them think you dont speak english and stuff like that they will leave there scratching their heads.you can usually tell by their facial expressions what to give them for an answer if they ask questions.i always have fun when out of staters call my treeing walkers the biggest beagles they ever saw . i say you should see the size of our rabbits i just cant help it.leaving a bad situation with something to chuckle about is so much better for the sport ,and your blood pressure.

Its pretty sad that i have to carry an additional environmental terrorism policy on my equipment at the cost of 5,000 bucks a year. Those people know no boundaries. They burnt up 1,500.000 dollars worth of my buddy's equipment 8 yrs ago. The same people that are on the animals rights band wagon. Keep your cool and get away from them, THEY WANT CONFLICT!!!! I think they are awarded badges or ribbons if they are involved in conflict for " the cause " lmao
