a cherry eye is a inverted eyelid and it takes the vet to fix it

Seems to me that the Cherry Eye is passed down too. I had two pups that got it, and their mom had it when she was young too. The two pups that I had with it were the only two in the litter to get it too. Just my luck huh?

I had a young pup of 3 month old get it. My vet told me it can be genetic and it could happen from an injury, like another pup biting her or a branch smacking her in the eye etc... With my pup, she was fine in the morning andrunning around playing in a pen with a 2 other pups, about 2-3 hours later I went out to feed then their afternoon feeding, and see she had cherry eye.

The only way to get rid of it, is a surgery that takes about 30 minutes. For me one vet wanted $700, but I looked around and found another Vet from out of town about 45 miles away, that would do it for $200. $700, that still burns me, I HATE Vets, they are always trying to dig deep in your pockets, but $200 was very fair. That Vet even thou hes out of town will get most of my business from now on.
