it is great to hear the passion you have for hounds . make sure you take care of yourself first even if you have to give the hounds up until you are on stable ground.i can sympathize with bad stepfather relationships having been a step child .

Like mentioned above best thing might be selling your hounds will put money in your pocket and so on. You might be able to work with someone on here as there are plenty of good people on this sight. You could work out a buy back kinda thing. Best thing to do is suck up the stepdad drama just work around it.

At 16 I would have to say if your mom is also allowing you to leave the issues may be with you suck it up and go back home and forget the dogs until things get worked out you got a lot of years ahead of you to do the hound thing nothin is more important than family. Andy

Keep the pups and hunt as much as u can. If u get rid of them , you will most likely get yourself into trouble . To have a phone and be on the computer u must not be that bad off.

Don't get rid of your dogs , they say your first hounds make you or break you, make them real dogs . If you love it you will come back to it . But if you give up for awhile you might find something instead and never go back and that thing you find could be bad. I vote make them dogs put time in them and go hunting and then u wil have a escape out of your family problems by kicking it hunt

I'm not bad off at all I have a full time job. Painting making good money I'm doin just fine on my own. If I don't have the dogs then what do I have ya know? It's what I love to do so why would I give it up to go home and be miserable? There's no point I just need someone to hunt with and train my dogs with
