Got out the other day

Got out with Houndogger yesterday to chase some bears.
Was a really good day.
It was my first time for bears (behind hounds) and I was looking forward to getting out all week.
I only have one dog I can run right now and had never hunted him before.
He was free from a buddy who got out of the game so I was iffy about it.
We saw the first bear we let out on, after trying to sort out a crossing from earlier that morning, although all the dogs struck a few times enroute to where we were.
Unfortunately he didnt go more than 50 yards before popping up lol
Maybe a good thing for Riley's first time out...
Anyways he was on the wood the whole time, strikes and can somewhat trail from what I've seen so he has that goin' for him so far...
Not bad for a 3.5 year old that hasnt been hunted in nearly 2 years.
We then let out right after on another one and it took them across the river and up the mountain to some bluffs. Not sure what happened but only 2 of Dave's went up after him (they did good too) but his old boy and Riley were down below where we went to listen to them. Not sure what happened there.
Put on some miles, dumped em once on a lil guy just to get them running again to whip them into shape and sure enough, after we head down in the direction they were working, we saw the big ol boar in the area we had been looking for all day!
Oh well, he'll only get bigger
