Hey just wondering how many of you in western Oregon are running the astro 320 with DC40 collars. Do they do ok in the terrain over here? Just saw a pretty good deal on them. Would like the DC50 but for the price of the dc40 system could still by a dc50 collar and be at the normal asking price for a DC 50 system. Thanks

I would go with the DC30's over the DC40's. I've never been a fan of the 40's and was glad when there were other options out there besides the 40's.

We just listed our Black Friday prices for the DC30's Refurbished for 140 each.. Including a 1 year warranty.

We're more south west part of Oregon but we love ours..they do have there issues and lose signalsometimes but it would be VERY hard for us to go back to just the beep box we always run our dogs with both and I tell people to do the same we like to have the loyal back up if needed. Have had gps collars turned off while dogs were in the box our lead do turned hers off sticking her head out of the box once. We've had better signals since changing everything over to the long range antennas. And a good selling point for your ol lady (which worked on me too lol) is you'll be home sooner and all the gas money you'll save we've had ours for like a year and half and in the gas money we've saved they have more then paid for themselves hope this helps

I run 40's and 50's the 50 has a little more range and seems to link up to my 320 faster but I get along fine with the 40's I have noticed also that when you loose reception with the collars you will pick up the 50 a little faster but I think either way you go you will be happy especialy if you are getting a good deal on the 40's.
