bob cat hunting info

I live in Virginia and have been bear hunting my whole life and want to start cat hunting with my old dog he has run a few in late bear season but I want to hunt him without snow and was wondering if you have any helpful tips

Well beings snow should be coming your way soon I would head to the mountains and put it on as many cat tracks possible. Then go hunt them same area's when its dry ground... You'll have a good idea where the cats are crossing and what area's they prefer.

thanks man probally take a ride Saturday since we got snow I know we got allot of cats but for some reason they don't cross the roads allot

I have done some hunting on the Virginia, West Virginia border and have found decent cat numbers. Can be tuff finding tracks along the road and if that comes head for the rock out croppings and just walk around been preety good to me finding tracks that way. Best of luck hunt the dog hard...

thanks I live 30 min from wv im sure ill find some im sure the dog will do good he is really cold nosed he was my best dog for years now hes retired im just wanting to further my hound hunting experience bear hunting will always be number one but this will give me somthin to do from January to spring thanks for your info and if your ever comin this way message me on here and maybe will get together and hunt
