Folks, for anyone that hasn't figured it out, all hunting is in serious peril in Ca. The fish and game commissioners are appointed by the governor and currently consists of almost all, stone cold, anti hunting environmentalists. How anyone could think that the one listed above in Dale's post doesn't have a huge conflict of interest is beyond me. Same as Jennifer Fearing, the state director of HSUS, walks the Governor's dog and hauled it around the state to promote Brown's pet tax increase (prop. 30). But according to her and Brown she has no undue influence, ya right. In an upcoming fish and game meeting HSUS and Project Coyote are attempting to stop the use of dogs for "pursuit of all game" and want to stop all hunting of bobcats. Both of these organizations are deeply embedded in an already anti hunting fish and game commission. If we can run a dog on anything in Ca. five years from now I'll be surprised. The decks stacked against us. HSUS legally bribing politicians, politicians managing game by who gives them money with no thought to science, a fish and wildlife dept. that won't stand up to the politicians and a democrat supermajority that can do what it wants.

If this isn't a conflict of interest how about the commissioner Bonham being a vegan, I meet with a F&W biologist a couple of week ago and asked him what his opinion of his boss was he told me that last year at a diner Bonham made up his plate went and sad down to eat then was asked about if he had tried the prime rib his reply was "I do not eat meat", how people live there lives is there business BUT with beliefs like these and being the head of F&W and game management really!
