This is a popular topic this winter and controversial. If we disnt hunt unless it was above zero we honestly wouldnt have hunted all wintet. Today was day 47 of consecutive sub zero temps. It has been rough. I personally think ppl should let their dogs be the judge if its too cold or not. This winter more days then not its been -10 or colder and the dogs loved it. The coldest day i have ever turned loose in was last winter it was -24 and thats air temperature. It was my stud dog jock and he barked wide open solo n my gf and i shot the coyote in front of him 3 hours layer. People freak out when its so cold and ya maybe it is too cold but if it had to be above zero my dogs would be wprthless because its wisconsin its winter and its cold. U gota make hay while the subshines. Itll show what kind of dogs you have when you turn em loose. Eitjer they want to go or they dont.

Dun deal said it well, it's up to the dog a dog should also b worked into the weather with temp and hours into each day or week go colder and longer. I've hunted in some cold and in you allow your dog to work into it should be good I've hunted 20 below with no problem. Same goes with heat dog just needs to be worked into it.
