I would like to send out my personal thank you to all those men and women who have come from across the states to aid us in our fire fighting efforts.

I would like to ask that you personally thank anyone that you know who has sacrificed their time and families to come and aid us here in California. It is much appreciated and we owe them a great deal. As without them we would be in greater trouble.

Here is some statistics to date
1,781 fires still burning in the state
1,459 have been contained
322 are still active (0 containment)
725,421 acres have been burned.

The above photos were taken while I was working on one of the fires. The first photo shows a black oak burning as I am approaching to cut it down. The second is just a shot of the fire burning up the mountain side. (All that bear territory burning) The third are some fire fighters working hard putting out the fire. Lastly, is a woman flying the helicopter that dumps the much need water.

Again, for all of us here in California, thank you for volunteering. It really shows what we can do when we stand together

Very sad but its' been a long time comeing. Without the ability to have the controlled burns anymore it was bound to happen. Too many years have passed since most of that country has burned. I'm sure the game is going to suffer from this greatly along with the residents. I feel for ya'll out there and hope everyone gets out safely (except the anti's). Being a native Californian I love your state but glad to be a Texan now. Good luck!!!
